My posts are more brief these days, but my riding is less so. I finally got the road bike out for a real ride yesterday. Berkeley to Danville and back. Not a ton of climbing or mileage, but 53 miles while still not fully recovered from a cold this past week isn't too bad.
Gratuitous bike shot at the reservoir near home:

What route did you take? I'm newly (back) in the Bay Area and eagerly hunting for some good rides to get back in the groove.
It was Spruce, Wildcat, Miner,...Happy Valley,...Olympic,...Danville Blvd. to Peete's. Reverse course except we took the bike path at the end of Olympic to Moraga, Moraga Way to Orinda and up Wildcat. (... = misc. back roads)
Check Grizzly Peak Cyclists
for the ride schedules. The Oakland Yellow Jackets also have great rides if you don't care for solo.
As long as you're riding and getting some wheel time, I think that the rest of us can accept your absence!
